Anderson quarterback Owen Scalf threw six touchdown passes in a 47-21 win over Winton Woods on Friday, Oct. 16, and the Raptors clinched at least a share of the Eastern Cincinnati Conference title.

Now the ECC's regular-season finale comes to Loveland.

An Anderson win would secure its third consecutive outright ECC championship, WCPO reported. A Loveland upset would open the door for Winton Woods to share the title with Anderson if the Warriors beat Lebanon.

"I'm really proud of our seniors and how we handled tonight," Anderson coach Evan Dreyer said after the Winton Woods game, according to WCPO. "It was a playoff atmosphere. It was physical; it was fast. It was something special."

Scalf completed 29 of 35 passes for 458 yards without an interception, according to Local 12. Senior wide receiver Tysin Weaver caught 12 passes for 222 yards and four touchdowns, including a 34-yard score to open the game. Senior wide receiver Cooper Kathman added seven receptions for 160 yards and three touchdowns, including a 77-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Anderson led 20-14 at halftime before outscoring Winton Woods 27-7 after the break. The Raptors finished with 558 total yards and zero turnovers.

On defense, junior defensive back Brandon Bolender recorded 21 tackles, 14 of them solo. Senior linebacker Antwoine Higgins Jr. added 13 tackles.

Anderson has won 42 consecutive games against Greater Cincinnati opponents, per WCPO. The last loss to a local team came at Milford on Sept. 8, 2023, a 56-35 defeat. The Raptors have also been the Division II state runner-up the past two seasons and have clinched a top-four spot in Division II, Region 8, according to playoff projections analyst Joe Eitel.

Loveland enters the finale at 2-7 overall and 2-6 in conference play, according to MaxPreps. The Tigers are 0-5 at home and have lost three straight, including a 56-0 loss to Winton Woods on Oct. 2 and a 40-21 defeat at West Clermont on Oct. 16.

Their two wins came on the road: 36-35 at Milford on Sept. 11 and 49-42 at Walnut Hills on Sept. 25.

A Loveland upset would be the Tigers' first home win of the season and would hand the Raptors their first ECC loss since 2023.

The OHSAA football playoffs begin Oct. 30, with the top 12 teams in each region qualifying and the top four seeds earning a first-round bye.
