Clermont County voters renewed the Children Services levy on Nov. 3, approving the five-year, 0.8-mill tax 51,392 to 36,837, according to unofficial results reported by the Clermont Guardian.
That works out to roughly 58.3% in favor and 41.7% against, calculated from the unofficial totals. The levy funds the support of children services and the care and placement of children, according to The Ballot Brief's description of the certified ballot language.
Voters rejected a renewal-and-increase proposal in May. The November measure renewed the existing levy without an increase.
Earlier on election night, with 102 of 168 precincts reporting, the levy led 39,420 to 27,599, or 58.8% to 41.2%, the Clermont Guardian reported. The margin held as the remaining precincts came in.
