Loveland City Hall will become a haunted house for the first time on Friday, Oct. 30. Presale tickets cost $10; admission at the door is $12.

The event, called Loveland Haunted Hall, runs from 7 to 11 p.m. at 120 W. Loveland Ave. All proceeds benefit Tigers Inc., a student-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit at Loveland High School, according to the city's event page.

The City of Loveland and Tigers Inc. are presenting the fundraiser together. Presale tickets went on sale Oct. 15 through a link the city shared on its Facebook page.

Mayor Kathy Bailey said the building is getting a one-night makeover. "City Hall has seen its share of long nights, but nothing quite like this," Bailey said, according to the city's event page. "For one night, we're handing the building over to the students of Tigers Inc. …"

The haunted house will include strobe lighting, fog machines and other special effects. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

Outside the haunted house, a DJ will play music and Folks-N-Motion will serve food while visitors wait to enter, the city said.

Tigers Inc. is organized into three student-led cohorts: wealth management, community outreach and marketing. The nonprofit manages a five-figure investment portfolio and has partnered with the City of Loveland, Xavier University and the Cincinnati Reds, according to the city's event page. Past projects include the Steve Kenyon Outdoor Classroom at Loveland High School.

The haunted house is one piece of a larger Haunted Loveland celebration filling downtown that evening. The Clermont Guardian reported the city has promoted the night alongside downtown trick-or-treating and a pet costume contest and parade.

The scheduled Oct. 30 activities, according to the Haunted Loveland event page, include:

  • 4–7 p.m.: Downtown trick-or-treating at participating businesses including Bike Trail Books, Graeter's, Plaid Room Records and The Works Pizza Co.
  • 4–7 p.m.: Halloween crafts at Lemons and Limes; "Scaryoke" karaoke at Plaid Room Records (sing a song, get 15% off)
