Miami Township began a training exercise that's expected to last for about 10 days beginning October 15, near the 400 block of Wards Corner Road in Clermont County.
Residents should expect a heavy police presence through approximately Oct. 25, according to a notice the Clermont County Engineer's Office shared and reported by the Clermont Guardian. The notice says the training poses no threat to the public.
"Periodically, there will be an increased number of police vehicles and police officers present," the notice said.
The Miami Township Police Department, led by Chief Robert Hirsch, also posted the alert on X on Wednesday, Oct. 15. The notice did not specify what type of scenario officers will train for.
The department serves Miami Township, a community of approximately 45,000 residents in the Loveland-Milford area. Residents with questions can contact the department at (513) 248-3721.
