A former youth minister living in Milford faces up to 105 years in federal prison after a grand jury indicted him on seven counts of child sex abuse.

Jeffrey Turner Taylor, 66, was arrested Monday, Sept. 14. He pleaded not guilty to all charges at his arraignment Thursday, Sept. 24, in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Virginia, Anglican Ink reported. A trial is set for Feb. 16, 2027.

The FBI is seeking additional victims.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia charged Taylor with three counts of coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in illicit sexual activity, each involving a different alleged victim, and four counts of traveling across state lines with the intent to engage in illegal sexual activity with a minor.

According to court documents of the conduct known to investigators, Taylor served as a youth minister at The Falls Church, a prominent Northern Virginia congregation, from 1990 to 2002. Prosecutors allegedly engaged or attempted to engage in sexual molestation of multiple boys through his role as a youth minister. He also served at two churches in Atlanta, where he allegedly groomed and abused a boy in his ministry.

The alleged abuse spanned from at least 1990 to 2008, according to the Eastern District of Virginia.

Taylor allegedly took boys to ministry events in other states and countries with the intent to engage in sexual conduct, prosecutors said. On several occasions, he allegedly molested multiple boys.

According to WCPO 9, the University of Cincinnati confirmed Taylor worked as a fundraiser at the University of Cincinnati Foundation from October 2013 to December 2023. The university said in a statement that the foundation performed standard background checks before hiring Taylor and was not aware of any criminal allegations at the time.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Vanessa K. Strobbe. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Ohio provided substantial assistance, according to the Eastern District of Virginia.
