A Clermont County judge set $1 million bond on Aug. 5, for Michael Rousseau, a 63-year-old urologist charged with one count of rape and one count of sexual battery after allegedly assaulting a developmentally delayed patient at The Urology Group in Union Township, adjacent to Milford.

Rousseau appeared in Clermont County Municipal Court after a complaint filed by Union Township Police. According to Fox 19, the patient reported the assault on April 24, telling officers Rousseau asked the victim to perform sexual acts while he exposed himself at the practice.

Court documents describe the victim as someone who "was and is substantially impaired because of a diagnosed mental condition."

The Ohio Medical Board was notified and launched an investigation. During a July 30 meeting with a board investigator, Rousseau admitted to embracing and kissing the victim, then exposing himself, according to court documents cited by Fox 19. He also admitted telling the victim afterward, "This has to stay between you and me."

Court documents say Rousseau characterized the assault as a "lack of judgement" during that interview with the investigator.

On Aug. 3, the victim gave a second interview corroborating the account and reiterating the details of the assault.

"The allegations are extremely disturbing," prosecutors said at the bond hearing, according to WLWT. They asked for the high bond citing concern Rousseau could harm himself or a member of the community.

Rousseau's defense attorney confirmed he has been separated from his job and is no longer practicing medicine. The Ohio Medical Board's formal license status has not been publicly confirmed.

Bond was set at $1 million.

Rousseau is due back in court on Aug. 14.
