The Clermont County Public Library Board of Trustees holds its next public meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 17, at the Miami Township Branch, 5920 Buckwheat Road in Milford.

The meeting comes as the 10-branch library system navigates leadership change. Andrea Brofft took over as library director in early July, and the Clermont County Commissioners are accepting applications for a trustee seat with a term ending Dec. 31, 2029.

Brofft, who signed up for her first library card as a first grader attending school in Miami Township, wrote in her July 6 Director's Note that she is "excited to become the Director of the Clermont County Public Library and to continue working to connect all ten of our Library branches to our Clermont County community."

The seven-member board is appointed by the Clermont County Commissioners and the Clermont County Court of Common Pleas judges. President Jennifer Doss leads the current roster, which includes Vice President Ernie Ramos Jr., Secretary Mary Jo Waite, Katie Bock, Edwin Humphrey, Judith Kocica and Laurie Schlueter.

No agenda for the Aug. 17 meeting has been posted. The board held a public hearing on its fiscal year 2027 tax budget on July 20 at the same location.
