Loveland's boys cross country team won the OHSAA District Championship on Saturday, Oct. 24, with senior Ian Trombley finishing second overall and setting a new school record.

The Tigers packed five runners into the top 12. Quinn Mentzer finished eighth, Keene Wolfer 10th, Ben Slater 11th and Kyle Wise 12th, according to Loveland High School Cross Country on X.

The district title marks back-to-back championships for the Loveland boys. The program won its first district crown since 1971 in October 2025, according to the Loveland Athletic Boosters.

Trombley, a senior on the Loveland roster, led the way. His race time was not available, but the program confirmed he secured the school record alongside his runner-up individual finish.

The Loveland girls turned in a strong showing of their own, finishing as district runner-up.

Senior Anna Feeney paced the group in seventh place. Lauren Saletta came in 16th, Kali Rodriguez 27th, Lilly Gutekunst 30th and Isabela Fronk 31st, according to the program's post on X. Feeney and Fronk are both seniors, per the Loveland Tigers athletics site.
