The Habitat for Humanity ReStore on Loveland Madeira Road will close permanently Saturday, Sept. 19, with many items marked down 75%.

The Loveland store is the third Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati thrift location to close since June, WKRC reported Saturday. ReStore locations in Cheviot and Bellevue closed permanently on June 30 as part of a consolidation plan.

The nonprofit has already stopped accepting donations at the Loveland store, at 10681 Loveland Madeira Rd. Shoppers looking for discounted furniture, appliances, building materials, flooring, cabinetry and home accessories have until Sept. 19 to browse what remains. ReStores sell new and gently used items at a fraction of retail price, with profits funding Habitat's home-building work in the region.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati said in a statement that closing the Loveland location will strengthen its remaining stores and help generate more revenue for its mission. The organization called the Loveland closure its final planned store shutdown.

The closure reverses a commitment Habitat made in May. When the organization announced the Cheviot and Bellevue closures on its website, it listed Loveland among four locations that would stay open and encouraged shoppers and donors to keep visiting. That plan changed. The timeline of when Habitat decided to close the Loveland store is not clear from available records.

A Loveland Magazine social media post from November 2023 announced the ReStore as "coming soon," placing the store's lifespan at roughly two to three years.

Three ReStore locations remain open across the Greater Cincinnati region for shopping and donations: Bond Hill at 4910 Para Drive in Cincinnati, Fairfield at 4655 Dixie Hwy. and Florence at 7102 Turfway Rd. in Kentucky. All three operate Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
