West Loveland Avenue and all intersecting streets close at approximately 6:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, for the Loveland High School Homecoming Parade, the city of Loveland announced.

The parade steps off at 6:30 p.m. at West Loveland Avenue and State Route 48, travels west to Rich Road, then turns north toward Loveland High School, according to the Clermont Guardian, which obtained the details from the city's Facebook page.

Closures last approximately one hour, the city said. Drivers should allow extra travel time while the route is blocked.

The city posted the advisory on X Thursday morning. The Loveland Athletic Boosters organize the parade, which sends the Tigers' athletic teams, marching band and student groups through downtown before ending at the high school.

Loveland High School posted parking instructions on Wednesday, Sept. 16: floats unload in the rear lot, and no cars are allowed there until all floats leave. Parents picking up students should use the front lot.

Drivers who use West Loveland Avenue between SR 48 and Rich Road should plan alternate routes between roughly 6:20 and 7:30 p.m.
