Loveland, Milford and Symmes Township residents looking to clear old tires out of garages and yards have a low-cost option coming next month: Clermont County's annual Tire Collection Event returns Sept. 11 and Sept. 12 at the Clermont County Fairgrounds in Owensville.
The event runs 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days at 1000 Locust St.
No appointment is needed.
Clermont County announced the collection on X on Aug. 9, giving area households about five weeks to round up unwanted tires before the drop-off opens. The Adams Clermont Solid Waste District, which organizes the event, directs residents to ACSWD.org or 513-732-7744 for full details including pricing.
What it cost last year
The county has not published 2026 pricing. Last year's event charged:
- Car or light truck tires: $1 each
- Heavy truck or semi tires: $10 each
- Tractor tires (60 inches or smaller): $20 each
Payment was cash or check only. Residents should confirm current fees at ACSWD.org or by phone before loading up.
Why it matters locally
Tires left in yards or along roadsides collect standing water and breed mosquitoes, making them a public health concern, according to the Adams Clermont Solid Waste District. The county-run collection gives households a legal, affordable way to clear them out before fall.
The tire collection is an established annual program. Last year's event ran Sept. 12-13, 2025, at the same fairgrounds location with the same hours.
