The Ben Morrison Memorial Fund has now distributed more than $52,000 in scholarships to Loveland High School seniors, founder and president Tori Morrison announced Saturday at the nonprofit's sold-out sixth annual golf outing.
Thirty-two golfers and scores of volunteers filled Hickory Woods Golf Course on Aug. 22 for the fundraiser, which has grown into one of the Loveland nonprofit's signature events. Morrison kicked off the day by thanking participants directly.
"Your support at events like this has allowed us to give more than $52,000 in scholarships to Loveland High School seniors," Morrison told the crowd, according to Loveland Daily News.
The fund, named for 2020 Loveland High School graduate Ben Morrison, provides scholarships and runs mental health education programs aimed at helping young people in crisis. Its Ben's Way initiative works to break the stigma around mental health in local schools.
That work has been visible across the district in 2026. In March, Morrison and the fund brought Loveland graduate Nick Jackson to a Hope Week assembly at Loveland High School, where he spoke to students about hope and connection. Loveland Middle School also recognized students Ava Stephens and Bibi Tangirkulova through the Ben's Way program for looking out for their peers. In April, the fund partnered with Loveland High School's Hope Squad for a "Mental Health Game" at Tiger Stadium during the boys lacrosse team's match against Sycamore.
The event sold out.
Sponsors for the Aug. 22 outing included RP Diamond and Time Savers Heating and Cooling, along with hole sponsors such as Lindsay's Private Gym, Rodi Italian, LaRosa's Pizzeria and Loveland Paddlesports.
The fund thanked supporters on its Facebook page, calling the day "such a success" and crediting volunteers, golfers and sponsors.
