The Clermont Chamber of Commerce will bring its annual Women's Day: SPARK! conference to Loveland on Friday, Oct. 16, with a keynote on artificial intelligence and leadership.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Oasis Conference Center, 902 Loveland Miamiville Rd. Tickets cost $50 for chamber members and $75 for non-members. Registration is open at the chamber's event page.
This year's theme is "Inspiring Women to Strategically Influence with AI," focused on using AI tools to sharpen decision-making and boost productivity without losing what the chamber calls the human qualities behind strong leadership, according to the chamber.
Diane Egbers, founder and CEO of Cincinnati-based Leadership Excelleration Inc. and author of "The Ascending Leader," will deliver the keynote. Egbers has spent 25 years as an executive coach and management consultant, working with more than 250 organizations, according to her firm's website. She also founded Grant Us Hope, a nonprofit focused on mental health awareness and teen suicide prevention in schools.
In a Jan. 16 Authority Magazine interview on the same AI-and-leadership theme, Egbers said leaders must engage with AI tools now: "Those who do not wade in and experiment will not likely remain viable. It's non-negotiable."
Dana Parker, assistant dean of student and graduate pathways at UC Clermont College, will emcee the afternoon.
The day opens with networking and a vendor fair spotlighting women-owned businesses and regional organizations. Confirmed vendors include Nothing Bundt Cakes, Mercy Health-Clermont Hospital, The Christ Hospital, Blush Linx Permanent Jewelry, Cat and a Teacup LLC and more than a dozen others. Raffle proceeds will benefit A Caring Place Pregnancy Center.
Doors open at 11 a.m. for networking and vendors, with lunch running through noon. The keynote fills noon to 1 p.m., followed by an interactive networking session from 1:15 to 2 p.m. Vendor visits wrap up the day by 3 p.m.
The Clermont chamber describes itself as an association of approximately 700 businesses. Vendor spots are limited; interested businesses can contact Kinley Boyd at 513-576-5002. Vendor prices are $100 for members and $125 for non-members.
