The Loveland Tigers opened their 2026 fall volleyball season with a straight-set sweep of Turpin on Aug. 25 at Chuck Schmidt Gymnasium.
Setter Megan Scheib earned player-of-the-game honors for the Tigers in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference matchup, helping Loveland start the year 1-0.
No set scores were reported.
Assistant athletic director Shayne Lyons announced the result and Scheib's selection on X shortly after the final point. Scheib, listed as a setter on her Hudl profile, helped the Tigers close out the match in three sets. Specific stat lines from the match have not been published.
The match was one of three home contests Loveland hosted that evening. Athletic director Jayson Bruce previewed a busy night on X, with volleyball, girls soccer against Anderson and tennis against Winton Woods all scheduled at the high school.
Loveland travels to Anderson High School on Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m. for another ECC road contest, according to the team's official schedule. The Tigers' conference slate also includes Little Miami, West Clermont, Walnut Hills, Lebanon, Kings, Winton Woods and Milford later this fall.
