Loveland's homecoming night ended in a 42-21 loss to Turpin on Friday, Sept. 18, after the Tigers trailed by just one point at halftime.

Turpin led 14-13 at the break, according to a live update from Loveland Assistant Athletic Director Shayne Lyons on X. Turpin then outscored Loveland 28-8 in the second half to turn a one-point edge into a three-touchdown win.

The loss drops Loveland to 1-3 in Eastern Cincinnati Conference play, according to ECC standings. Turpin entered the game at 1-3 overall and 1-2 in conference after a 45-7 loss to Winton Woods in Week 4, per WLWT's Blitz 5 rankings.

Turpin pulled away in the second half.

No individual statistics or scoring breakdowns from the game had been released as of Sept. 19. Loveland's roster includes quarterback Kellan Sprankles, running back Sid Harbin, receiver Chase Dahlke and kicker Aidan Higgins, but none of their stat lines from the Turpin game were available.

Before kickoff, the homecoming festivities featured a pregame coin toss by grand marshal Elizabeth Madison, a 2026 Loveland graduate and three-time state wrestling champion who compiled a 143-2 career record on the mat. Madison is now studying nursing at the University of Mount Union.

The City of Loveland Public Works Department had lined the streets with Tigers flags earlier in the week, and the Loveland Athletic Boosters held a homecoming parade on Thursday, Sept. 17.

The loss came a week after Loveland's comeback win over Milford. The Tigers rallied from a 21-point third-quarter deficit to beat the Eagles 36-35 in Week 4, a rally fueled by running back Sid Harbin's 174 rushing yards and a touchdown, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Harbin also converted two two-point runs in the second half of that game.

Loveland travels to Walnut Hills on Friday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m.
