The City of Loveland's free Movie in the Park series returns to Phillips Park on Saturday, Aug. 29, with a sunset screening of the 1984 comedy "Ghostbusters."

Admission is free.

The PG-rated film, starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Sigourney Weaver, follows a team of parapsychologists who turn ghost-catching into a business in New York City. Directed by Ivan Reitman, it opened in theaters in June 1984.

The screening begins at sunset at Phillips Park, 11667 Rich Road, across the street from Loveland High School, according to the city's official calendar. The Clermont Guardian reported the movie will start around 9 p.m. The event is open to all ages, and the city advises bringing blankets and lawn chairs.

Saturday's showing is the second installment of the 2026 summer series. The first, a screening of "Back to the Future" on July 25, was moved from Phillips Park to McCoy Park on Oak Street after the city announced a location change on its X account on July 15. Phillips Park is the series' regular home.

No additional Movie in the Park dates appear on the city calendar after Aug. 29.
