Loveland residents have until Oct. 4 to get brush to the curb before city crews start the fall pickup on Oct. 5.

The Loveland Public Works Department released the full fall collection schedule, covering brush removal and leaf vacuuming. Brush collection runs for about two weeks starting Oct. 5. Leaf vacuum crews follow, beginning Oct. 12, and working through Nov. 19.

Brush rules

Limbs can be up to 10 inches in diameter at the cut end. Stack them with cut ends facing the street and all branches pointing the same direction. Small twigs and sticks must be bundled with twine in bundles no larger than 12 inches across, or placed in a container.

Leaves, grass clippings, pine needles, bamboo and ornamental grasses will not be collected during brush pickup.

Place brush in the grass behind the curb, not in the street, gutter, ditch or on sidewalks. The city asks residents to clear basketball hoops from sidewalks, cul-de-sacs and driveway areas and keep fire hydrants unblocked so equipment can maneuver.

Leaf vacuum schedule

Each neighborhood gets two collection passes. Crews make one sweep through each area per window. The city notes dates are approximate and may shift with weather or workload.

Oct. 12–13 / Nov. 2–3: East Main, Elm, Chestnut, Wall, Riverside, Park, Ohio, Lower West Loveland, Harper, Shadycrest, Victory Circle, Wilson and Center streets.

Oct. 14–16 / Nov. 4–6: Wakefield, Walker, Oak, Ash, Laurel, Williams, Maryknoll, Hanna, Ruth, Venice, Elysian, Oriole, Lowell, Seyffer, Walnut, Paxton Road, Cedar, Robin, Second, Steeplechase, Huntington, Reserves, Cedar Woods, White Pillars, Sanctuary at Miami Trails and Sugar Tree.

Oct. 19–20 / Nov. 9–11: Lower Broadway, Third, Harrison, O'Bannon, East Loveland Avenue, Karl Brown Way, Union, Railroad, Maple, First, Fifth, Lyon, Sentry Hill, Brandywine, Hermitage Pointe, Butterworth Glen, Chimney Ridge and Bares Creek.

Oct. 21–23 / Nov. 12–13: Pheasant Hills, Pheasant Hills on the Lake, Claiborne I and Hidden Creek.

Oct. 26–27 / Nov. 16–17: Fox Meadow Farm, Glen Lake, Lebanon Road, West Loveland Avenue from Lebanon Road to Loveland-Madeira Road, Rich Road, Woodford and Kemper Road.

Oct. 28–30 / Nov. 18–19: Stoneybrook, Miamiview, Loveland Heights, Durango Drive, Claiborne II and Fox Chase.

Rake leaves into piles near the curb but not on sidewalks, streets, gutters or in drainage ditches.

Year-round option

Residents who need to dispose of yard waste outside the scheduled pickup can get a free yard waste voucher from City Hall for drop-off at Evans Landscaping. Anyone interested in receiving a load of wood chips can call 513-774-3067. The fall brush pickup is one of two the city runs each year, according to Public Works.
