The City of Loveland is inviting residents to a Celebration of Life for former Councilmember Kent Blair on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The city posted the announcement on July 20 on behalf of Blair's family.

Blair, who served on Loveland City Council from 2018 to 2023, died in June. The city announced his death on its official X account on June 8.

He first joined the council in January 2018, appointed by Mayor Kathy Bailey to fill the seat vacated by former Mayor Mark Fitzgerald. Bailey said at the time that she chose Blair because he shared her "commitment to community engagement and transparency."

Blair won election to the seat in November 2019, retaining it alongside Bailey. He chose not to seek re-election in 2023.

Before his council service, Blair worked at U.S. Bank as an investment advisor and broker. He coached soccer in the Loveland community for years.

On council, Blair became known for his focus on the city's finances. In its memorial announcement, the city described him as bringing "a wealth of financial expertise" to council during his tenure. Colleagues relied on his measured approach to decision-making.

Even after leaving council, Blair stayed involved. He served on both the Community Improvement Corporation and the Finance Commission, contributing his financial knowledge to city initiatives.
