Milford Eagles soccer hosts six games and a 30th-anniversary ceremony Monday, Sept. 28, in an all-day celebration that traces back to a group of booster parents who launched the tradition in 1996.
Soccer Fest runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Charity J. Lucas Soccer Stadium, according to Milford Athletics. The event features raffle baskets and spirit wear alongside a full slate of competition across boys and girls programs.
The Kickers Club, a booster parent group, started Soccer Fest three decades ago to promote the sport through an all-day showcase. Milford Athletics described the founders as a courageous group of booster parents in its announcement of the milestone.
A recognition ceremony at 6:15 p.m. will honor founding Kickers Club board members, former coaches, players and administrators from the 1996 inaugural event. The ceremony falls between the girls varsity match at 5 p.m. and the boys varsity nightcap at 7 p.m.

Both varsity squads enter Soccer Fest with momentum. The boys varsity beat Walnut Hills 3-1 on Thursday, Sept. 24, according to MaxPreps. The girls varsity defeated Mercy McAuley 7-0 on Saturday, Sept. 26, according to MaxPreps.
The stadium itself carries history. It is named for Charity Lucas, a Milford High School student and varsity soccer player who passed away following a car accident in the summer of 1990 at age 16, according to Milford Athletics. The facility received a turf upgrade funded by the Milford Athletic Boosters, the Cincinnati Bengals and FC Cincinnati.
The boys varsity close out Soccer Fest under the lights at 7 p.m.
