LCNB National Bank will close its Loveland branch on Loveland-Madeira Road and move to a new location in Symmes Township later this year, the Cincinnati Business Courier reported Wednesday, July 15.

The Lebanon-based bank paid $950,000 for a former bank branch property in Symmes Township, according to the Courier. LCNB plans to open the new location and shutter the existing Loveland office in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The bank told the Courier the move allows for more efficient operations.

What it means for customers

LCNB's current Loveland branch at 500 Loveland-Madeira Road serves customers Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with drive-thru service starting at 8:30 a.m. The bank has not announced a specific address for the new Symmes Township branch or an exact closing date for the Loveland location.

Symmes Township borders the city of Loveland, so the move keeps LCNB within the broader Loveland-area market.

Growing bank, shifting footprint

LCNB Corp., the bank's publicly traded parent company (Nasdaq: LCNB), operates more than 30 branches across southwest and central Ohio. CEO Eric Meilstrup has overseen a period of expansion, including the April 2024 acquisition of Eagle Financial Bancorp that broadened LCNB's Cincinnati-area presence.

The bank reported record first-quarter 2026 results: net interest income of $18.8 million, up 15.6% year over year, and wealth management assets of $1.57 billion. The purchase comes amid that stretch of strong financial performance. In the company's April 22 earnings release, Meilstrup said the bank "achieved another solid quarter of higher core profitability and book value growth, highlighted by continued net interest margin expansion."

What's next

LCNB has not announced a specific opening date for the Symmes Township branch beyond the fourth quarter of 2026. The bank's Loveland branch remains open at its current hours until further notice. Customers can reach the Loveland office at (513) 677-2203 for updates on the transition.
