Loveland wins $75,000 state grant for brine system to improve winter road safety

Loveland secured the maximum $75,000 award from the Ohio EPA's H2Ohio chloride reduction program to purchase an automatic brine-making system that will let Public Works pre-treat roads before winter storms, improving safety for drivers and emergency responders while cutting salt runoff into local waterways.

NWS confirms tornado touched down in Clermont County on Tuesday

The National Weather Service confirmed a debris-confirmed tornado touched down in Clermont County's Pierce Township around 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, damaging a home on Mott Road and downing numerous trees, with more than 10,000 Duke Energy customers losing power across the region.

Loveland residents are receiving legitimate letters from Direct Energy about the city's voter-approved electric aggregation program, which locks in a rate of 10.36 cents per kWh through November 2027; those who don't want to participate must opt out by Friday, July 31.
